Instructions for all potential users of the upgraded CHPC system

Principal Investigator (PI)

1. Update your existing profile now by logging in and clicking on "Your Profile" and then the "Register as PI" option. If you do not have a database login, please follow the "Register as a PI" option at the main menu. Please also alert any students or collaborators about this procedure, as they will need to be registered on the database as well by following the "Register as User" option.
2. Please provide a link to your website or profile at your institution if possible. Alternatively, use the space provided to describe your background. Also, providing a link to your publications (if applicable) will be helpful. All this will help speed up the verification process.
3. You will receive notification as soon as you are verified, and will then need to create a Research Programme (for you and / your students or collaborators). As allocations are given to PI's via their Research Programme, we ask that you just create one Research Programme. Only in exceptional cases will PI's be granted more than one such allocation. Please describe clearly what each member of the Research Programme will be doing on the new cluster, as well as point out the codes that they will be using.
4. As soon as your Research Programme is approved by CHPC staff, all associated members will be given accounts, and may begin drawing from the Research Programme's allocation. When the allocation reaches 70% of the total, you will be notified and asked to motivate for an additional allocation (to avoid any important work being interrupted due to no available allocation).
